Because your time is valuable. You could spend hours researching hotels, comparing options, and hoping everything goes smoothly, or you could hand it off to someone who does this every day. I have a pulse on what's actually happening at resorts right now, I know which room types are worth requesting (and if I don't, I know who to ask), and I can usually get you complimentary perks at luxury hotels that you simply can't get booking direct. Need adjoining rooms? No problem. I have relationships with hotel sales teams and can make requests like that seamless and easy. Plus, you'll have someone in your corner if anything goes sideways.
Amex Travel is essentially a search engine. It finds availability and processes the booking. What it can't do is think for you. With IMERA, you get my expertise, my relationships, and my time. I VIP my clients with hotels directly, which means priority upgrades and amenities that go beyond what any credit card program can offer. I'll also connect you with the concierge before you arrive, remind you when it's time to book dining and activities, and stay involved so nothing slips through the cracks. If you want a higher-touch, truly luxury experience, working with an advisor is the upgrade.
Luxury getaways, honeymoons, family and multigenerational travel, adventure trips, luxury vacations at Disney parks and resorts, cruises, small group travel, and corporate or group trips. I work with clients on everything from a long weekend in wine country to a multi-week trip through Europe. Most luxury hotels start at $500 a night before taxes and fees, and most luxury resorts start at $750 a night before taxes and fees.
Not at all. Domestic trips are some of my favorite to plan. From Luxury beach resorts, to national park itineraries, ranch stays, city escapes, you name it. Wherever you want to go, I can help make it worth the trip.
We start with a conversation. I want to understand who's traveling, what you're hoping to feel on this trip, and what's worked (or hasn't) in the past. From there, I handle the research, recommendations, bookings, and logistics depending on how much support you want from me.
It's a fair question. There are destinations I book regularly and know deeply -- Costa Rica, Hawaii, Mexico, the Caribbean, and the U.S. are among them. But for more complex itineraries, what matters most isn't whether your advisor has personally been to every destination. It's whether they have the right partners on the ground, know how to do the research, and understand how to put the pieces together. I work alongside trusted local experts who live and work in specific destinations -- they know the latest, the hidden gems, and provide on the ground support, which is a key part of seamless luxury travel.
What I bring to every trip, regardless of destination, is advocacy. I'm the one double-checking details with partners, helping you select the best hotels, and handling extras like dining reservations with the concierge. Destinations change constantly, and no single advisor can know what's latest everywhere. What you want is someone you trust, who knows where to look and has strong relationships with the right people. That's what I'm here for.
The earlier, the better. For most trips, 6 to 11 months out is the sweet spot. Cruises ideally need at least a year, especially for popular itineraries and peak seasons. That said, I've pulled together last-minute trips too, so don't hesitate to reach out even if your timeline feels tight.
Hotel-only bookings are complimentary, as are trips like cruises and small group travel (Backroads or Tauck tours, for example). For complex, bespoke trips, or full concierge service where I build and book everything for you, I charge a planning fee that varies based on the complexity of the trip. I limit the number of full-service trips I take on each month so I can give each one the time and attention it deserves. We'll talk through all of this before you commit to anything.
